I visited Baba Island and other parts of Pakistan several years ago. One thing that impacted me most was the great devide between those who have and those who have not. Baba Island is a very impoverished and unsanitary environment that is in desperate need of resources. I know that there is also a Western medical complex there that is said to provide health care to the citizens of Baba. When considering the history of Western imperialism and the world-wide plight of the poor, I suspect that Baba's citizens may be getting exploited.
