It was a co-education school situated in the old Sind Assembly building, one of the most beautiful building of Pakistan just like Dow Medical College karachi having a spacious area for cricket Ground.all the students of this school were most intelligent students of Pakistan whose majority served in Pakistan Civil Services on key posts because all the teachers were well qualified and most experienced of Pakistan/ I.I.Chundrigar , ex governor of Pakistan was the head master of this school.

I dont know where my school mates are still living in Pakistan and what they have adopted their services career because I met a few of them since long ago .After then I could not contacted them because of my transfer to Islamabad.however I have learnt something about them. Ibrahim khatri,one of my most intelligent student had passed M.S Engineering from America.he was consultant engineer at Khanpur dam.Since than,I could not met my this school mate. Ghulam Sabir was also a brilliant student whose passed B.Com and others banking courses of CA.He joined AUSTERESIA Bank on a top post. I think He now become vice president of any foreign bank. Zafer ul Hasan become doctor. Mr Khurshid Ahmed is the owner of SALIQA SEWING MACHINE Bunder Road Karachi.

Once I was deputed officially at Bhit shah in Feb seventy nine for the checking of arrangement of stable electricity supply system for the Bhit Shah Mela. When I had checked the Rest House and Library Auditorium, I saw there the beautifully painting works of Zafer Kazmi.Really he was a great painter of Pakistan in land scaping and Arts works .His Master pieces painting works also had seen by field Marshal Muhammad Ayub Khan at bhit shah in fifty nine and he appreciated the beautifully painting of zafer Kazmi.The Photograph is also appeared in School Magazine in nineteenth sixty. I will request to Prime minister of Pakistan that special award and civil award should be given to Zafer Kazmi(if alived) or his family members in recgonition of his good painting works.

At that time, the office of Daily Jang was existed at the corner of burns Road& bunder Road.It owner someoften used to come in this njv School Building where the offices of some sind govt departments were existed on the ground floor.he was so excellent and polite type great person with a smiling face that we much impressed of his good characters.He always please to meet the students of this NJV high school because most students daily read the story of TARZEN in the daily jang which was a popular comic of that time.

our school teachers ,although old aged around fifty but also most interested in playing cricket.once my team was defeated from teachers eleven because all teachers were most active in running AND FIELDING..Zafer Kazmi(drawing teacher) ,Ather ali,Ghulam Hyder abro were most excellent and fast scoring batsmens by hitting towering sixers and handsome wonderful fours.Nazer ul islam was a good Wicket keeper.SK Rehmani,Waseem Ahmed,Muhammed Hussain were the fast bowlers.Njv teachers cricket team also defeated Sind Maderassah and CMS School.It is a sign of proof that our teachers were most healthy and active in addition to teaching experiences.

Mrs Shamim Aijaz, one of the most well reputed urdu news caster of Radio Pakistan was also a student of this School during nineteenth fifty.At the time of partition.she came with her uncle in pakistan but her mother was left behind in india due to one reason or any other reason.Her voice and pronounciation was very good and so she joined Radio pakistan .In one interview in anewspaper,she said that she had joined the job of newscaster because of the reason that her mother is living far away in India and only best way meet her is that she listened her daughter voice daily and her mother did not feel that she (her mother) is living alone in India .Shamim Aijaz has been remained for a long time in Radio Pakistan as a urdu news caster.

Mirza Daud beg MA,BA(Aligarh).BT was urdu teacher in section No-2 while Zohra APPA was urdu teacher of my section.He was a small four feet but a fat man of good personality and always come in school in his pakistani national traditional dress of SHERWANI , shalwar and jinnah cap.He was most wonderful & MUZAQIA type man.He was the editor of our school yearly team.Once he called me in his office and inquired me why you had not writen any article for school magazine while you are writing articles for the children magazines taleem-o-tarbiat,Kalim.Guldasta etc.please give me article by tomorrow in any way.I said Yes Sir. next day I submitted my article to him SANS ZINDIGI HEY. Mirza Sahib appreciated and thank me.nex month, this article was appeared in my school annual magazine.

The standard of education was very high in those days.Those english poems which we used to study in ninth class in RADIANT ENGLISH TEXT BOOK are now included in the MA (English) Course.NESFIELD English grammer,one of the best book of english grammer, was taught in those days but now, even MA passed student can not even write a correct sentence.High School Algebra by Athawale, School geometary by mayane and silsala Arithematic were being taught in those days. Hilal Urdu and Nishan-e- manzil were the urdu books.daroosal al arbia was the arabic text book.and so many others standard types text books.

I was studying at PAF station Drigh Road, After I passed 4th/5th Class I was asked by my Parents to either join NJV or at PAF school at Drigh Rd. as such my cousins were already in that school, they were five brothers and fathers name was Mr. Shaikh Rafiuddin, who was DIG of Sindh Police and was station at Karachi, where now Tibet Center is build at the corner there used to be a very old building of one floor, where my uncle used to have his Office. and the Principal at that time it was Mr. Musavi, was the Principal of NJV, I am talking about . My cousins had given the name which I was called at home my nick name. after the test I was declared passed and I went to check and I said to my cousin brother wafeeuddin, that my name is not in the list he checked and asked the Principal he checked and find out that my nick name was written in the school list. My name was corrected and was admitted to class 5th at NJV High School, at Bunder Road.

late Narayan jagannath Vaisya was director of public instruction in Mysore State. He was transferred to the Sindh province. He was given the task of deciding the correct script for Sindhi language amongst his regular tasks connected with his position. At that time sukkur dam was under construction. And many teachers, engineers and clerical staff went to Karachi as Government Servants. So a school was necessary for their children. That was established and named after NJ vaidya. NJ High school, in recognition of his work in the educational field. Students in the school were Gujarati,Marathi, kannad, Sindhi etc. the medium was marathi and English if needed.

I was a student of NJV HIGH SCHOOL KARACHI.In those days, the population of Karachi was around1,3 millions (13 LAKH) There was not existed heavy trafic on any road of Karachi.My parents were living in PIR JANDAL SHAH BUILDING RAGHOO STREET RAMSWAMY KARACHI. The city of KARACHI was a small city upto central jail while national Stadium was existed in a deserted location.No one dare to go beyond exhibition ground (PIIF) area even in day light RAJA GHAZANFAR ALI KHAN ADOWALIYA-RAWALPINDI).
