The Director General, Pakistan Broadcasting Corporation, Islamabad Subject: REQUEST FOR REGULARIZATION OF RECORDING MUSIC OF MY SHAHNAI FOR CENTRAL PRODUCTION UNIT AT KARACHI Dear Sir, Most humble and respectfully, I would like to inform you that I am one of the artists of Pakistan Broadcasting Corporation. For THREE or FOUR years the CPU, Ksrachi has not recorded my programme. I am surprised. I am a double 'AA' Category artist in playing Shahnai. It is also my proclamation that I am only in Pakistan who plays Shahnai as I am one of the pupils of Ustad Bismillah Khan, Shahnai Nawaz. Further I think it necessary to mention here that what kind of financial support would be for me at age of SEVENTY or SEVENT-TWO years if this centre does not take care of me. I have always been awarded Royalty by the PBC. You are requested to kindly look into matter so that my programme for music may be regularized by PBC. This is age is the age of massive propaganda. Actually PBC is not aware of it. When I think the people of Bangladesh need a old and dependable companion at this time. But you are not there. Remember during the year nineteen seventy one time the All India Radio had a high powered AM transmitter that was always even five years before war. They were succeeded to create influence in the then Bangladesh. What about Mitali? You even closed this program long time ago that you used to broadcast on shortwave.Believe me it created a good influence among the peoples. The young generation they do not know about you,our history and much more. I think you should look into this matter urgently. If you do so will be good for every body. Thanks and Salam.
