salam fellows I am working in shaikh zayed hospital as post graduate trainee for FCPS-2 in Nephrolgy.as for as house job is concerned, there are no seats for fresh graduates for house job.Shaikh zayed takes only the doctors with FCPS-1/MRCP-1 or at least completed one year of house job in some other hospital. Gastroenterology and nephrology are very competetive.Only doctors who have completed initial 2 years of gen. medicine training at shaikh zayed hospital can compete and if seats not filled then outsiders are considered. Different diplomas like DCH,DGO,DOMS,DTCD,DA etc are advertised in newspapers usually in aug/sept.Classes start from Nov each yr. usually one yr experience is required. shiakh zayed has very good reputation in gulf countries. I dont hv information regarding national and non national hospital. Doctors are not appointed through public service commission.It is an autonomous body directly under supervision of cabinet. a federal cabinet secretary supervises. Doctors are appointed through advertisement in papers on contract basis likey to be permanent. I have this pretty crazy question in my mind that always bothers me. Imagine a person who's suffering from an incurable disease and is willing to die. This sick person knows his condition would become worse and worse evryday and there would be no hope to cure his sickness. and living longer for him means tolerating more awful pain. He really wants to die but he doesn't want to do it by himself and wants someone( his doctor or nurse...) to do it for him. Now the question is: is it immoral if that person accepts his request and kill him by changing the dose of his drugs for example?

For MR kamran. kidney transplant occur routinely in shaikh zayed hospital but there is a criteria set for both donor and recipient.Only first degree relatives(parents,children, brothers and sisters and in some cases first cousins)are allowed to donate the kidney. sale and purchase of kidney for transplantation is a crime.there is no national database for organ donation in pakistan.so it is difficult to get kidney by donation.i could not understand ur last sentence. someone has donated kidney and is seeking advise to have kidney transplant. I had experience with hospital. It is lacking in staff professionalism, teamwork and there does not exist any accountability and patients are the least attended. A true example of system prevailing in Pakistna. Plunging into dark. Competencienis like professional team work respect accountability just relate to your background and nationalism nothing to do with pay structures. Doctors are scared of staff who try to avoid work. Patient dye due to lack of professionalism and inattention not lack of medicines. Who cares but God cares
